The Grotto

We have been working hard, well Tim has, so not much time for exploring. Last week we finally had days off together. First stop was The Grotto. It was described to me as a "lovely swimming hole with no crocodiles" Sounded great, 50 km along the road to Wyndham. It was lovely but the 140 hand cut steps descending into the gorge had no rail and we had 2 smallish children. By the time we got to the bottom my legs were like jelly. At the bottom, huge waterfall, lovely swimming, slightly disturbing as the depth of the water is around 300ft. Not thinking about what's lurking around the bottom!

Jonathan headed straight for the rope swing forgetting he swims like a stone. Each time he swung in Tim had to fish him out, didn't seem to bother the boy much...he is working on his swimming lessons.
